CHRISTMAS

Ciao carisimi amici e famiglie,

So to start, I absolute hate this computer I am using and it is making me angry face.

Secondly, it was sweet to talk to the fam on Sunday. Really helped me looked at where I am in the mission and what I still need to do to become better. Big evaluation day you could say.



ANZIANO SHEPHERD



Christmas has come and gone. Thursday we got to head on down to Verona to have a little zone conference. We did get training, it wasn't just a huge Christmas party but it was fun doing the Christmasy stuff. We acted out the Nativity and I got to be a Sheperd. Probably look into being one of those after the mission since it was such a smashing success. We also got some mission ties and packages from the fam.



Went back up to Bolzano that night and I just decided to open all my presents. Was pretty fun. Got the 4x4 cube solved already but is still just 50% luck (two corners refuse to flip the right way). I noticed you guys took out the instructions on how to fix it. Really like the highlighters and the Plan of Salvation puzzle and everything else. Has really helped me out lately. Only thing missing now is masking tape and a calender. Oh well....

Saturday we spent at a new converts house and had some sloppy joes, then quickly skedaddled on over to a members house for Christmas celebrations. The members got us this super expensive chocolate and about 4 weeks worth of food. Can't thank them enough for that. But they were also just super nice and were making sure we felt like we were at home. Super sweet of them.




TRENTO DUOMO

 

Went to midnight mass, well more church hopping. Saw a concert in the Trento duomo and heard a discourse at the Jesuit Temple thing. Then we slept in.

Christmas was fine at church, we then had lunch with the branch where we got even more food than we needed.




We then went and called you guys. Which was nice.

Saw Hercules in Italian which was pretty funny.

Then we went home afterwards and just had a chill day.

Monday was a pretty bad day though, not a whole lot got done and a lot of people weren't home because the 26th is also a holiday here. Not really sure why. That coupled with this coming Saturday, it looks like this week is just getting filled with events that put missionary work to the side. Such as the fact that we have 4 mission meetings over the next 5 weeks. Yikes!

But then I got to scambio with Anziano Mesaros yesterday in Verona and that was fun. Got to see Webb and Ramjeus. All super legit missionaries. Which reminds me, Jacob needs to email me. Have something sweet to share about Mesaros with him.

PIAZZA ERBE

Then today we were here in Verona. Had to wait for Webb to buy a camera so Ramjeus and I watched Kung Fu Panda 2. Still don't understand it. Then went to Piazza Erbe and just chilled. Now we need to hurry on home to Trento.

Anything I can do for anyone? Just send a letter or an email.

Palendrom

Hey everybody, today is a palendrom. Rats live on no evil star. Ma has a ham.

Stuff like that.

We are super bored as you can tell. This week Gammel and I moved out of our apartment because they are repainting and fixing it up. Should be awesome by the time we get back Friday. For this we are in Bolzano but won't be here the whole time since we have zone conference tomorrow. Should be getting the Christmas stuff then. I managed to send my stuff back home yesterday. So the price is about 10€ a kilo. I have no idea what that is in dollars and pounds but it is expensive. Sorry. So packages will probably be a Christmas only thing or maybe one other time during the year. But I love get packages from all of you. And letters. Seriously, letters are awesome!

Due to our house being remodeled, we haven't had a lot of time to do work because we have had to clean everything out of the house. That took a good 2 days to do. Then we also had our Christmas party and other crazy things happening like a bus/train strike two days in a row. Last week has been interesting. Probably the worst teaching week of my mission so far. But we had a lot of fun. Especially with fire.

We are going to be at a member's house, Sorrella Mickey, for Christmas because she likes to have the missionaries over and she lets us use Skype (btw mom, Jason is coming over that morning so get ready for him). I will be calling at 8:30 your time, 16:30 my time. Also think the movie we will be watching is Tangled. Any suggestions if that falls through?

Well, the mission is going on awesomely. I feel a lot better. Less burdened, more free. Should be some sweet things happening soon. I don't think I'll kill Anziano Gammel because he has one more transfer after this, but he has been awesome. That's about it for this week. Italian phrase of the week is:

Tra dire e fare, in mezzo un mare. (Between saying and doing, in the middle the sea).
